Health Benefits Company Plans to Open Call Centers in Phoenix and Tempe

PHOENIX–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Humana Inc. An additional 200 employees will be hired in Tempe to staff a new call center opening in support of Humana’s RightSource Home Delivery mail-order prescription service. Once the two call centers are open and staffed fully in January of 2008, Humana’s Arizona workforce will exceed 1,195 employees.

“The Phoenix area has a national reputation as an outstanding site for customer call centers,” said Debbie Smith, regional president of Senior Products for Humana’s Western Region. “With its abundant, well-trained labor pool, excellent business climate and great quality of life, the Valley of the Sun is a natural choice for our call centers.”

Humana signed a long-term lease for 62,946 square feet of office space for the new DMS Center – Phoenix located at the Corporate Center business park, 10400 North 25th Avenue, Suite 200, in Phoenix. The RightSource Pharmacy will continue in operation at the Buckeye Road location with approximately 360 employees.

Humana signed a long-term lease for 81,789 square feet of office space from Invesco for the RightSource Customer Care Call Center in Tempe. The Lincoln Company provides building management.

“The convenience of mail-order prescription delivery to our members’ homes and the continued growth of Humana’s membership have expanded RightSource’s business significantly,” said Smith. “We anticipate continued robust growth in our RightSource operations and we’re committed to providing our Medicare members with a well-serviced health care experience.

Positions being hired for the RightSource Customer Care Call Center include customer care associates, team leads, front line leaders, workforce analyst and managers. The Tempe facility also has the capacity in the future for additional growth to reach 550 to 600 employees.

Job applications for the DMS Center – Phoenix call center positions are also now being accepted. Available positions include telesales specialists, Rx enrollment specialists, client specialists, quality assurance specialists, administrative assistants and supervisors.

Humana offers a comprehensive benefits package including a competitive salary with the possibility of an annual bonus.
