ASU’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law is one of the top law schools in the country for Hispanic students, according to the September issue of Hispanic Business magazine.
The college is ranked seventh among the top 10 in the publication’s annual “2007 Best Law Schools for Hispanic Students.” The magazine, which also rated business, engineering and medical schools, based its selections on enrollment, faculty, student services, retention rates and national reputation. Professor David Kaye is spending the academic year away from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, teaching international human-rights law and other subjects in a country often criticized for its human-rights record.
Kaye, a Regents’ Professor of Law and a professor of life sciences, will be the Freeman Foundation Visiting Professor of American Law at the Hopkins-Nanjing Center for Chinese and American Studies in China. Marjorie Kornhauser, a new professor from Tulane University Law School, has joined the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at ASU, where she is teaching federal income tax and tax policy.
